Meet Dr. Christine Hoeplinger

A Passion for Dentistry

I love being a dentist. There have been so many wonderful developments in the profession since I began practicing more than 25 years ago. No longer are we dentists doing just fillings and dentures. Instead, we now have multiple treatment procedures for restoring, replacing, and maintaining a person’s teeth. Along with those treatments are new technologies and more effective analgesics, as well, leading to more comfortable care and stronger outcomes.

I feel it is a privilege to help and care for others. As a dentist, I can help someone get out of pain, reassure a patient who has dental anxiety, and provide different options for a person to reach optimal oral health. In all this, I become friends with my patients, as we learn and grow together. They call me Dr. Chris, and that makes me smile.

Education and Commitment to Continuing Education

  • West Seneca East Senior High School, Class of 1975
  • State University of New York at Buffalo, Bachelor of Science in Biology, Class of 1979
  • University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Class of 1984

Continuing education is very important to me; I regularly attend seminars and courses in order to stay abreast of developments in oral healthcare. I pursue knowledge in topics that are relevant to the needs of my patients, ensuring I am able to consistently meet their needs. I am fascinated with emerging technologies and procedures, and love introducing them to my practice and my patients.

Away from the Office

I’m a West Seneca native, though now I live in Orchard Park. My husband, Mark, and I practice in the same office building. He is an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. We have been married for 35 years and have two sons. Our oldest, Stephen, is an attorney in Boston; he and his wife, Stephanie, are expecting their first child, and our first grandchild, in November 2014. Our younger son, Alex, lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a Family and Marriage Counselor.

I keep busy when I’m not at work. I love traveling, bicycling, and cooking. Of course, I’m looking forward to spending time with our new grandchild, too!

I’m passionate about helping others. Mark and I do medical mission work with an organization called Faith in Practice, and volunteer through our church, as well.
